Osprey Viking Cruises

City Centre Fairground

Time: John Robert’s Square 
A range of fairground attractions and amusements will be situated in the city centre for the duration of the festival and if you’re hungry you can get a taste of Waterford and try some authentic local produce from a wide range of food stalls in John Robert’s Square.

Hey Presto

6pm  Applemarket

Four years, countless stages, and zero signs of slowing down! Presto is a high-energy voice and guitar duo from Wexford bringing big sound and even bigger vibes wherever they play.  From the powerhouse hits of Tina Turner to the timeless cool of Johnny Cash, from Robbie Williams favourites to U2 anthems, Presto delivers a crowd-pleasing mix that gets everyone singing along.

Six of hours of live music commences at 2pm with Liam Frampton followed by Washed Out at 4.30pm  and we round off with Smurph at 7pm

The Absurdist Pipe Band

The Absurdist Pipe Band take pipes, drums and costumes and mix them with a dash of clowning to create an energetic package that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. No strangers to the streets of Waterford,  there truly is “No rest for the Ridiculous”.

The Unusual Suspects

8pm  Applemarket

The Unusual Suspects are one of Ireland’s most in-demand live bands with over 16 of touring experience. These lads deliver funk, soul, pop and party anthems with a signature brass section and powerhouse vocals. Their 1990s Dance Anthems are a Party favourite and a highlight of the nightclub scene.

Urban Greenway Self-Guided Tour

As a ‘city of light’ Waterford offers a unique experience to view historical monuments and city walls illuminated in green. Take a nighttime tour of the ‘urban greenway’ and discover the history behind some of Waterford’s most famous landmarks.

The festival runs for four fun-filled days, typically starting before St. Patrick's Day. 

Events and activities generally run throughout the day and into the evening.

  • Day 1 (Friday): Events usually kick off in the evening, with walking tours and ticketed performances starting around 6:30 pm and live music continuing late.
  • Day 2 & 3 (Saturday & Sunday): Daytime activities, workshops, and markets often start around 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Live music and street performances continue through the afternoon and into the evening.

Day 4 (Monday – St. Patrick's Day): The main St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 1:00 pm sharp. Daytime workshops and the city fairground typically begin around 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
