Wobbly Circus

Festival favourites The Wobbly Circus are back again this year. The show is a unique circus performance that will delight audiences of all ages. The show combines slapstick comedy and clowning with a high level of circus skills.

Southeast Craft Studios Art and Craft Workshop

As a celebration of Irish heritage Southeast Craft Studios would like to invite you to a Celtic art and craft workshop.

Little Irish Folklore Friends

Little Irish Folklore Friends is about six creatures from Irish folklore, all using their powers in unexpected ways. Join Liam the Leprechaun, Betty the Banshee, Pádraig the Púca, Willow the Wisp, Fiadh the Fairy and Seán the Selkie for lots of magic and giggles

David Flynn

With passion and heartfelt emotion, David will take you on a wonderful musical journey with songs and stories.

The Booley House

Time: TBC

Applemarket Stage With some of the finest traditional Irish musicians The Booley House perform an enthralling range of original step dancing routines. A firm festival favourite for years, there is no better Irish variety act than the gang from West Waterford.

Urban Greenway Self-Guided Tour

As a ‘city of light’ Waterford offers a unique experience to view historical monuments and city walls illuminated in green. Take a nighttime tour of the ‘urban greenway’ and discover the history behind some of Waterford’s most famous landmarks.

City Centre Fairground

Time: John Robert’s Square 
A range of fairground attractions and amusements will be situated in the city centre for the duration of the festival and if you’re hungry you can get a taste of Waterford and try some authentic local produce from a wide range of food stalls in John Robert’s Square.

The city is easily accessible for families to enjoy the festivities. We are here to help, with any questions.

The festival runs for four fun-filled days, typically starting before St. Patrick's Day. 

Events and activities generally run throughout the day and into the evening.

  • Day 1 (Friday): Events usually kick off in the evening, with walking tours and ticketed performances starting around 6:30 pm and live music continuing late.
  • Day 2 & 3 (Saturday & Sunday): Daytime activities, workshops, and markets often start around 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Live music and street performances continue through the afternoon and into the evening.

Day 4 (Monday – St. Patrick's Day): The main St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 1:00 pm sharp. Daytime workshops and the city fairground typically begin around 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
