The St. Patrick’s Day Parade for 2021 was, like in 2020, postponed due a spike in cases of Covid-19. However, despite not being able to physically celebrate the occasion, the people of Waterford came together and found other ways to connect with their communities and to celebrate our National Holiday. This was done through virtual parades and by Waterford city and county going green.

There was also a Waterford St. Patrick’s Day Virtual Parade 2021 Facebook page where people were invited to have their own parades at home and submit photos and videos showcasing how they celebrated the occasion. Here are some notable submissions:
- Scoil Mhuire Butlerstown (Junior Infants-2nd Class).
- Larchville Lisduggan Residents Association
- Music Generation Waterford
- City of Waterford Brass Band
